2012-2013 Interim Update

The 2012-2013 Club P.A.N. school year is well underway.

This year we have over 800 students in Côte d’Ivoire and Guinea participating in the programme!

The pre-evaluations of the students and the first eight lessons are done. The program will continue with the last lessons, the parents" days and the post-evaluations in the next weeks.

We are very proud to announce that the WCF / Club P.A.N. project has won a prize by UK-based international development charity "Teach A Man To Fish":

The WCF has been named as the organisation with the most entrepreneurial approach to education in Côte d’Ivoire in the Educating Africa Pan-African Awards for Entrepreneurship in Education. With over 350
entries from all over Africa, the WCF has done exceptionally well to be named a country winner in the competition. It’s unique and entrepreneurial approach to education meant that it caught the judges’
attention even despite this being the most competitive competition to date. As a country prize winner, the WCF is entitled to prize winnings of USD $1,000.

We would like to thank our supporters that have made the 6th Club P.A.N. school year in Côte d'Ivoire and the 3th year in Guinea possible: Mohamed bin Zayed Species Conservation Fund, Oklahoma City Zoo &
Botanical Garden - Conservation Action Now, Auckland Zoo Conservation Grant, Keidanren Nature Conservation Fund, Columbus Zoo, DierenPark Amersfoort Wildlife Fund,Sweden Chimpanzee Trust, BMZ, Zoo am Meer Bremerhafen, Teach A Man To Fish, Brevard Zoo, Leipzig Zoo, Tierschutz
